A visit to see the Great Grey Shrike this morning at Folkingham was successful between 0930 and 1000 hours where I left it to eat something speared on a Hawthorn branch. Then went back to Kirkby pits. On North pit, notables were 1 Egyptian Goose, 7 Redshanks, c1000 Black-headed Gulls and c200 Herring Gulls.
On the Reserve pit itself another 1 Egyptian Goose, 10 Shoveler, 3 Goldeneye, 2 Little Grebe, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Peregrine Falcon, 1 Little Egret and c150 Lapwing were noted.
