Kirkby Gravel Pits, Lincolnshire. 6 January 2012

A visit to the Kirkby gravel pits again today enabled the closest view I have had so far of the Great White Egret on the South West pits. Also notable here was 1 Redshank and a Grey Heron. Elsewhere a Redshank and 3 Goldeneye was noted on the Riverslea pit and a Kestel on the reserve.
