Another visit to Kirkby gravel pits today in order to look through the gulls meant at Riverslea pit I found a Goosander and was made aware of this male Ring-necked Duck amongst the Tufted Duck. Also observed here 2 Common Buzzards, 2 Goldeneye and 1 Little Egret in the rear field.
On the pit North of the landfill site a look through the gulls brought no rarities however notables were 8 Redshank, 1 Green Sandpiper and 1 Kestrel.
